Summary

Rudolph first appeared in a 1939 booklet written by Robert L。 May, and published by Montgomery Ward, the department store, in Chicago, Illinois, USA。 In its first year of publication, Montgomery Ward distributed 2。4 million copies of Rudolph's story。 The now familiar tale of Rudolph, a young reindeer with a glowing, red nose, and how he came to Santa's rescue one foggy Christmas Eve, has become a Christmas classic。

Written and illustrated by some of the best children's book authors and artists, Little Golden Books are known by their gold-foil binding, and by the pleasure they bring to children。

4。5 out of 5 starsJust as charming and whimsical as I remember it being in my childhood, but who in the world leaves out the iconic "Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"I would like to speak to the manager STAT。 4。5 out of 5 starsJust as charming and whimsical as I remember it being in my childhood, but who in the world leaves out the iconic "Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"I would like to speak to the manager STAT。 。。。more

Oh my gosh。 I had forgotten all about this book。 I probably read it to my kids, too。 I was a Baby Boomer。 This is a timeless classic。 Great for letting kids know that it's fine to be different, that you have something very unique to share with others。 Oh my gosh。 I had forgotten all about this book。 I probably read it to my kids, too。 I was a Baby Boomer。 This is a timeless classic。 Great for letting kids know that it's fine to be different, that you have something very unique to share with others。 。。。more

This book feels so derivative of the movie and I just don’t like it。

Joe Loncarich

The movie is better than the book。

Another classic childhood favorite, especially with illustrations from Richard Scarry。 One to reread every Christmas。

I indicate "Read", though it would be more accurate to say my parents read this to me。Though I've read it myself since then。 I indicate "Read", though it would be more accurate to say my parents read this to me。Though I've read it myself since then。 。。。more

This is an adaption of the Rudolph story that is pretty true to the movie。 Nothing new, only a few scenes cut (none of Hermey’s backstory is included, for example)。 The copy I have has illustrations that are very similar to the movie animation as well。 It’s a bit dull for an adult because of these things, but if you have a Rudolph obsessed child it would be fine。 I’d personally prefer different illustrations to spice it up a bit but that’s just me。

This favorite Christmas tale is definitely one of my favorites。 The message of how being different can lead to greater oppurtunities is amazing for children。 As a kid myself, I remember relating to Rudolph as kids used to call me names。 This story relates to so many other children and if your havent read it yet, I would definitely do so!!

This is the 1998 Little Golden Book version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer。 I never realized how much variation there has been since the original 1939 story。

You're all very polite, but I get the impression that some of you are just a tiny bit sceptical about the posts where I pass on the many messages I receive from God and His angels。 Well, if you're so obsessed with reproducibility and verifiability and all that rationalist methodological shit, here's an excellent parody of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which I just received directly from God, and I am reliably informed that many other people have received it too。Now do you believe me?Rudolph the You're all very polite, but I get the impression that some of you are just a tiny bit sceptical about the posts where I pass on the many messages I receive from God and His angels。 Well, if you're so obsessed with reproducibility and verifiability and all that rationalist methodological shit, here's an excellent parody of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which I just received directly from God, and I am reliably informed that many other people have received it too。Now do you believe me?Rudolph the Red-Faced HorndogHad a very tiny wang。And if you ever saw itYou would barely see it hang。All of the other Trump aidesKnew he was a drunken sham。They knew that not-poor RudolphGained from every Russian scam。Then one fine Election Eve, Borat came to say,“Rudolph with your wang so small, You’re the biggest dick of all!”Then all the Trump aides ditched him,And they shouted out with glee,“Rudolph, the Red-Faced Horndog,You’ll go down in infamy!” 。。。more

Classic story; glad it wasn’t just a book with the song lyrics as the text。
